Thorpe Club of the Month June 2007

Thorpe Arnold CC has been chosen by "The Wisden Cricketer" magazine as the Gray-Nicolls Club of the Month for June 2007.

Along with the accolade the club has also won a kitbag of goodies from Gray-Nicolls, including a bag, three bats, three pairs of batting pads and gloves and one pair of wicketkeeping gloves and pads.

Peter Gillett, who submitted the entry was tonguetied as usual. "Blimey, I'm gob-smacked. That's absolutely brilliant. When you've got as many young teams as we do, anything like that is a great help as we don't get many grants because we don't own the ground"
